The Global Scholars Program at the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur encourages global citizenship, recognizing a shared humanity and interconnectedness of all cultures and identities. Those accepted in the program seek out new, challenging perspectives and learn about the world through global issues and international affairs.

Personal Experience

My experience in the Global Scholars Program at Notre Dame has been extremely fulfilling and crucial to my high school experience. Since being accepted into the program, I have been encouraged to seek—to ask questions and go outside of my comfort zone. The most important thing I have learned is that exploring lifestyles unlike your own is how you grow. Staying in a comfortable bubble, while easier and less daunting, does not encourage a young woman to learn different values and accept change. Overall, I would recommend this program to any prospective member. The opportunities I was able to experience made my high school education much more well-rounded and allowed my curiosity to thrive.
