Ethan Jenkins
I am a post doctoral researcher and applied microeconomist at the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research. I specialize in public, labor, and urban economics. I am particularly interested in estimating how social safety net programs impact extreme outcomes like housing security and crime using administrative data.
My job market paper uses a regression discontinuity design to estimate the impact of unemployment insurance eligibility on subsequent criminal involvement for low-income displaced workers.Â
The Russell Sage Foundation and the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research have supported my work.
