Where to Start
If you are a City of Elkhart resident, the city can pick up your recycling for free. This occurs once a week, on the same day as trash pick-up. Place your cart out by 6:00 PM within 3 feet of the curb.

Register for a bin
You can choose between two 18 gallon bins, a 48 gallon cart, and a 96 gallon cart.
Obtain your 18 gallon bins from the Elkhart Street Department. Call 293-5518 from Monday through Friday between 8 am to 4 pm.
Obtain your 48 or 96 gallon carts from Borden Waste-Away by filling out a City of Elkhart Recycling Cart Request Form through this link:
