Short Bio
Dr. Wei-Yao Wang is a research scientist specializing in Large Foundation Models, Natural Language Processing, Sport Science, and Representation Learning. He earned his Ph.D. and BS degrees from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University and National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan. During his academic journey, Dr. Wang served as a visiting researcher at the ScAi lab at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Wang has an impressive portfolio of publications in prestigious conferences, including EMNLP, ACL, KDD, AAAI, WWW, EACL, CIKM, ICDM, and PAKDD. His contributions have been recognized with two best paper awards at AAAI Workshops. Demonstrating his leadership in the field, he has organized four workshops at top-tier international conferences for NLP and sports analytics, specifically at WWW, NAACL, and IJCAI. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Dr. Wang gained valuable industry experience as a research intern at Microsoft.
