What is Project Based Learning?

Project Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging, and complex question, problem, or challenge. -Buck Institute

The Buck Institute - All Things PBL

The Buck Institute provides a great deal of information that is all things PBL. From project outlines, to videos of PBL in action, to the purpose of using project based learning as an approach to teaching and learning, the Buck Institute provides a great starting place for teachers and administrators to educate themselves on all things PBL.

High Quality Project Based Learning

The buck Institute recognizes that project based learning is being used increasingly as a teaching method and has therefore launched a new framework that outlines high quality project based learning (HQPBL) in order to provide educators everywhere with a shared basis for designing and implementing good projects. The framework describes what students should be doing, learning, and experiencing during the course of a project.
