Our judge is Dr. David Frazier, a retired professor of Agricultural Education from Stephenville, TX. Dr. Frazier has been involved in the livestock industry throughout his entire life. After earning a degree from Texas Tech University, he became an agricultural education teacher in Snyder, Texas where he built a large and successful show program. He eventually earned a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri and spent the duration of his career as a teacher educator in Tennessee and Texas. Within the livestock show industry, Dr. Frazier is a Swine Superintendent for both barrows and gilts at the Houston Livestock Show and the Fort Worth Livestock Show. Dr. Frazier has been judging livestock shows since his college career at Texas Tech University and has judged shows in over 25 states and in Russia and Ukraine. As a multi- species judge, he has judged hundreds of jackpot and county shows as well as state and regional shows throughout the nation. Throughout his career, his passion for working with youth and livestock has remained constant. He recognizes the importance of exhibiting great livestock but emphasizes that raising great kids who understand the values received from showing livestock and working in agriculture is the most important aspect of the show industry.
