Time: Meet on site at 12:00 PM Friday April 25, 2025

Burn Plan and Unit Maps are available below, showing the burn unit boundaries, orientation, safety areas, and other key locational data. Please review the Unit Maps prior to the burn to familiarize yourself with operations. You can open them in a separate tab and print them off if you desire.
Burn Command Post: will be established in the vicinity of the burn trailer.
Parking: Please don't block the driveway
Arrive wearing your PPE (see below)
12:00--arrive, CHECK IN at the Command Post, and walk the burn unit so you have a sense of the territory. to see Burn Plan and unit maps in advance.
12:15: briefing at Command Post. You'll learn all you need to know about what's going to happen and be put into teams. If you want to primarily take pictures/videos, that's welcome.
Burn will start when we are fully briefed and ready
Burning the Kecks unit will take approximately 2 hours.
After Action Debriefing at the Command Post will happen after initial mop up review
CHECK OUT at Command Post when you leave so we ensure no one gets left behind
BRING: Drinking water and food to tide you over.
BRING: Additional tools you may want to carry on the burn such as a combi tool or rake.
PPE: Your assignments will take into account your safety, please dress accordingly.
Trousers and long-sleeved shirts/coats made of natural material (cotton, wool, linen) Long sleeves will be worn at all times in the vicinity of the active fire whether or not you are on the hold team or the ignition team. This is for your safety!
Leather boots
Leather gloves
Head protection --helmet is ideal; cotton or wool cap if you don't have one
Eye protection to shield from smoke
Masks for smoke protection as needed
