Optional farm tours on July 29th
The Southeast Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives (SDBII) project, led by the University of Tennessee and partnered with NC State University and the Kentucky Dairy Development Council focuses on educational and financial assistance to value added dairy business owners. Each year, the Southeast Value-Added Dairy Conference provides educational and networking opportunities for producers and industry partners. This year, SDBII is collaborating with The Carolina Meat Conference which is committing to supporting sustainable food production through fostering regenerative production practices, advancing market opportunities, and increasing customer access to pasture-based meats. Attendees of these two conferences will learn about innovative marketing and packaging, how to get access to retail space, food safety and hazard audits, networking opportunities, hands-on trainings, and technical and business assistance! Join us and make sure to register early to save $$!
Here is a list of suggested sessions for dairy producers to attend during the conference; however, you are more than welcome to attend sessions that are not listed. Aside from those listed, there will be opportunities for everyone to attend general sessions. The Full Agenda can be found here but please keep in mind that you can attend any session, even if it doesn't have a purple "Value Added Dairy" tag on it.
