I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Agricultural Economics at North Carolina State University, and I will be on the 2026-2027 academic job market.Â
My research lies at the intersection of agricultural economics, contract theory, and industrial organization, with a primary focus on agricultural markets. Using contract-level microdata and structural estimation methods, I analyze how contract designs shape producer effort and economic welfare.
In my job market paper, I examine the welfare implications of production tournament designs in the U.S. broiler industry. By developing an empirical model of grower behavior and optimal contract design under relative performance evaluation, I quantify how alternative tournament schemes impacts grower welfare and integrator profitability.
Beyond production tournaments, my research interests extend to agribusiness organization, risk management, and microeconometric techniques for policy evaluation.
