Historical Inquiry using Artificial Intelligence (HI AI) 

We are going to investigate patterns across primary source texts and gain a deeper understanding of the systemic nature of historical discrimination by using a software tool called StoryQ. During this week, we will:

• Define redlining and discuss how it impacts US housing policy

• Examine the language of primary source texts used to 'redline' neighborhoods

• Use StoryQ to explore these primary sources and identify language patterns that lead to redlining
