Precision Animal Systems
2nd International Symposium on Precision Systems and Data Analysis in Animal Agriculture
ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM
The Food Animal Initiative, a collaboration between the NC State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine, is hosting the second international symposium on Precision Systems and Data Analysis in Animal Agriculture: Precision Animal Systems.
This symposium is a follow up to the 1st Symposium held in 2019. This year's focus is related to on-farm use and application of technology and data gathered from precision animal systems.
It will be a unique, collaborative nexus for professionals from multiple disciplines (animal science, engineering, mathematics and statistics, and biology) to share ideas and foster open dialogue about the advancements in, and issues facing, the use of sensors in animal agriculture.
Sensors and big data mining are two important tools for achieving the goals of “Precision Animal Farming," making them important areas of discussion. The venue will be structured to facilitate interaction and discussions between producers and allied industries.
