These course materials introduce general concepts related to power electronics and renewable energy technologies. Renewable energy technologies, including solar energy, energy storage, microgrids, clean transportation, and efficient buildings are described and presented as part of the energy system. Real-world design and implementation of rapidly deployable energy systems are described. Presentations related to ongoing research demonstrate the capability of energy systems to support resiliency and prepare for future disasters and emergencies. Students will develop a basic understanding through online lectures and presentations related to real-world projects.
