In 2017, we will develop an E. Coli profile for Rocky Branch Creek on NC State's campus. Rocky Branch traverses the lowest elevations between NC State's north and central campuses, from Gorman Street on the west to Pullen Road on the east. Our task this semester is to examine the level of E. Coli present in the creek, at various places, times of year, and rainfall regimes. Class participants will learn about E. Coli, stormwater management, land use and cover, regulations regarding water contaminants, stream classification, and other elements related to this topic.
