WolfWebs is a cohesive group of faculty members and graduate students at North Carolina State University. We are interested in and conduct research using social network analysis: the study of interpersonal relationships between individuals. We meet monthly to discuss cutting edge social networks research, and to enjoy some light revelry and nerdy conversation.
Steve McDonald
Steve McDonald is Professor of Sociology and University Faculty Scholar at North Carolina State University. He studies inequality in social network and social capital resources. His research focuses on networks in labor markets and work organizations.

Branda Nowell
Branda Nowell is Professor of Public Administration and University Faculty Scholar at North Carolina State University. She is an organizational-community psychologist specializing in inter-organizational relationships, social networks, and community capacity for multi-agent collaboration and coordination within complex problem domains.

Andrew Davis
Andrew Davis is Assistant Professor of Sociology at North Carolina State University. He studies global politics, violence, law, culture and crime, using social network analysis to examine states, organizations and other actors from a macro perspective.

Robin Dodsworth
Robin Dodsworth is Professor of English in the Linguistics program and University Faculty Scholar at North Carolina State University. She studies language variation and change with a focus on the role of social networks in shaping the diffusion of linguistic change.

Tom Leppard is a postdoctoral fellow at NC State's Data Science Academy. He received his PhD in Sociology in 2024. He studies inequalities and social capital using social network analysis to examine collaborative relationships in workspaces and through adolescent development.

Adam is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at North Carolina State University. His research focuses on economic and political sociology, corporate malfeasance, and culture using mixed methods including SNA and comparative historical research.

Xiaoqin is a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. He uses social network analysis and computational social science to study economic sociology, culture, knowledge, and political sociology.
