The RICH Lab focuses on understanding how structural racism and gendered racism affect health outcomes among African Americans. Moreover, we investigate the role of protective and vulnerability factors (e.g., racial identity, gendered racial identity) and coping mechanisms in the linkages between racism/gendered racism and health. We hope to begin conducting anti-racism interventional research soon! The ultimate goal of such research is to promote health equity in African American and Black communities.
