NC State College of Education Digital Learning Competencies for candidate teachers are adapted from the NC Digital Learning Competencies for Classroom Teachers which were designed based on standards from ISTE, iNACOL and the NC Professional Teaching Standards.

Procedures:
Teacher candidates will study digital citizenship and begin developing their own professional image online. They will review laws governing usage of images and copyright. Students will also make a plan of how they hope to integrate ethical uses of digital content in their own classrooms and pass a digital citizenship assessment.
Students will participate in an activity using technology tools to connect globally and will reflect on how equity issues connect to digital education.

Read content, watch videos, complete the activities in the online content and demonstrate your proficiency in being able to model digital citizenship and your plans to integrate digital citizenship into your future classroom.
Each assignment has an associated rubric and work will be assessed in a met/not met manner. Assignments are aligned standards in the learning goals segment above.
