Hello, my name is Laura Doody and I am a Designer at North Carolina State University. I am expected to graduate in 2026. 

My favorite part of school would be designing my projects whether it was asked of me or not. Once I took an Adobe Visual Design class in high school and was able to do projects for hours on end without it feeling like work, I knew this is what I wanted to do for my career.

All of my businesses and jobs have given me an outlet to explore my design skills with marketing to better my businesses. The classes I’ve taken at NC State help me think about my designs and who they are for instead just of being for me. I now think about how people move their eyes through a design, accessibility for all, and how might the design improve the user experience.

I’ve always wanted to capture the beautiful views in front of me and be able to share them with the world. I enjoy testing the different effects and angles with something as simple as an iPhone camera.
