Information about individuals' lives and their home county's situation can be gleaned from the inferior court minutes, in this case the Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions. I found these minutes of great help while researching John D. Jones; so useful, in fact, that I transcribed almost sixty years of the court's minutes.
