Welcome to Kay Foley's GIS 520 Course Portfolio!
Spatial Problem Solving
Throughout this course I have enhanced my skills in problem solving from a geographic information perspective. Utilizing Geographic Information Science (GIS) technology, I have learned advanced analysis skills to study and solve real world problems, such as being able to integrate and analyze various formats of data, and being able to display results to aid in decision making.
The following pages display the process of identifying a problem, projecting data, interpreting patterns, and making decisions. The case studies use real world data and address real-world problems to show the power of GIS technology.
