March 22, 2017: Provat successfully defends his PhD! Congratulations, Provat! Provat is moving on to a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Carnegie Mellon University Center for Atmospheric Particle Studies!
January 11, 2017: The paper led by Provat on our measurements at the Southern Oxidant and Aerosol Study (SOAS) was published in its final form (link) in Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics! Nice work, Provat!

January 5, 2017: Stephen Reece successfully defended his MS thesis, "On-Line and Batch Lab Measurements of Primary and Photochemically Aged Biomass Cookstove Emissions"! Congrats, Stephen! He'll be staying on for a bit to finish up the manuscript based on this work - stay tuned!
October 17, 2016: Provat, Stephen and Andy traveled to Portland, Oregon to present at the 2016 American Association of Aerosol Research Annual Conference. The group had four well-received talks at the meeting and enjoyed interacting with aerosol scientists and engineers from all over the world.
October 1, 2016: The lab is getting started on a new four-year, NSF-funded project on the coupling of air quality, climate, land change and biomass use in southern Africa with colleagues from the University of North Carolina, the Stockholm Environmental Institute, the Autonomous University of Mexico and the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
August 11. 2016: Roshan Wathore successfully defended his MS thesis, entitled "In-use characterization of emissions and fuel-use of Traditional, Natural- and Forced-Draft cookstoves in Rural Malawi". Congrats, Roshan!
