Outreach Activities

G-I GSO strives to influence future generations through outreach activities. We continue to seek ways to be more involved in our communities and to collaborate with other graduate students such as the EERI student chapter for a more significant impact. We were fortunate to partner with the Girls in Science Summer Camp and related programming that is organized by the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. We spend 1-2 hours with young girls in 6-7 grade and share with them various concepts of Civil Engineering and also share our stories and the unique career paths we followed that led us all to NC State as graduate students.
