The Environmental Justice Symposium (EJS) is an educational series focused on examining environmental justice in North Carolina and engaging our local community with its interdisciplinary themes.
This year we are investigating topics based around rights such as environmentalism, justice, activism and integration of multidisciplinary roots of sustainability and rights.
2025's EJS includes:
An art showcase in collaboration with Raleigh arts collective, CoLab and our student gallery Fish Market on First Fridays in Downtown Raleigh.
A Sustainability Seminar encouraging multidisciplinary collaborations
A film screening at a local music venue about indigenous voices and,
A litter sweep service opportunity at Walnut Creek
Market Pop ups featuring local media and messages
These events work together to integrate the different facets of environmental justice and the implications towards liberty and justice for all.
