Inclusion, Respect, and Academic Integrity
Students must follow the NC State Student Code of Conduct. In addition, the following rules apply in the classroom, during office hours, during team meetings for course assignments and projects, and in any online spaces (e.g. Piazza, Zoom) designated for the class:
No sexist, racist, or other "-ist" remarks
Use the names and pronouns that people ask to be called
Treat others & yourself with respect regarding their current knowledge and skills. No one is an “impostor” and everyone has gaps in their knowledge. It's ok not to know things!
Don’t claim credit for work that isn’t yours. This course is highly collaborative, but you will still be responsible for identifying the contributions you made to all assignments, attributing credit to anyone outside the course whose ideas or work you reference, and commenting on your teammates' contributions. See Section 8 of the NC State Student Code of Conduct for definitions of what constitutes cheating, plagiarism, and other forms of academic dishonesty.
COVID-19-related Conduct Policy
Students must follow the NC State Community Standards for COVID-19. This includes:
Wear a face covering in all indoor spaces on campus. Your face covering must cover your mouth and nose and seal tightly at the edges.
Submit proof of vaccination or sign up for weekly surveillance testing. (We recommend getting tested weekly even if you are vaccinated.)
If you feel sick, stay home. Our course policies are designed to accommodate unplanned absences.
If you test positive for COVID-19, follow the self-reporting protocol.
