Bring all broilers to the show! They will be processed for local food pantries.

Show Time for 4-H: 5:00 pm

Poultry Proficiency 

Youth will have the opportunity to test their knowledge of chickens and compete in the poultry 

proficiency contest at the show. Awards will be given for each age group. See the "More" tab on the menu

for a study guide.

Will there be concessions? 

A food truck will be at the event. 

How does the show work?

Youth will show their bird twice.  Once in showmanship according to their 4-H age and again in their broiler or hen class. 

Do I keep my chicken after the project?

Youth will keep hens. All broilers must be brought to the show for processing. They are a meat bird and it is a welfare issue to 

keep them more than a couple of months. After processing, their meat will be given to local food banks.
