Welcome to The Morganton Chorale (Course MU 4100)
The Noteworthy Chorale is dedicated to the study and performance of standard and contemporary choral literature. Musical concepts include ensemble techniques, vocal production, sight-reading and presentation. The Chorale typically performs four major concerts per year in addition to campus and community presentation. There are no course pre-requisites or auditions, and interested students are encouraged to register each semester for repeatable course credit. Students with irreconcilable schedule conflicts may request independent study to continue their participation in Chorale. This course does not count towards a student’s 5-course limit. Singers are encouraged to audition for competitive regional, state, and national honors ensembles, including all NCMEA, NAfME and NATS sponsored events.
