This tool can be used with students kindergarten through 12th grade.
Don't forget to enter your email for the most popular Would You Rather Math prompts from K to 12.
Use the information in the table above to set up your lesson.
Model the completion of a single prompt: demonstrate how you would like the students to justify their reasoning on an open-ended problem.
Create a clear set of expectations: provide a set of mathematical objectives that need to be accomplished by the end of each task.
Use the prompts in moderation: space out the use of the prompts to keep the concept fresh and interesting throughout the year.
Let students own the prompt and justification: having students justify their reasoning is a crucial skill to learn and can only be done by practicing.
Review the resources for your grade level and choose one to use with your class.
