what is Spiral?

Spiral is an interactive learning platform that teachers can use for quick assessment, student collaboration, interactive video, and flipped classroom activities. Discuss an essential question or a video with students in real time. Use the "Team Up" feature and monitor progress as students create collaborative presentations about current events, novels, or math and science topics.

Grade assignments automatically or individually, and check whole-class understanding by viewing question-by-question statistics. Want to have students work independently or flip your classroom? Create an assignment, and then send students the link for them to access it at school or at home (with the Teacher Pro version). Finally, sync your classes quickly with Google Classroom to enhance learning and provide variety.

Steps for your badge:

Watch the videos embedded to the right to get a good grasp on what Spiral is and what it has to offer in the classroom.
Go to spiral.ac and sign up for a FREE account.
If you use Google Classroom, sync your classes with Spiral for a quick and easy start!
Use Spiral accordingly in your classroom to conduct efficient formative assessment, engaging activities, etc.
Access the "Completed Lessons" tab or "Shared" tab and take a screenshot* displaying what you have done in your classroom using Spiral.
Upload the screenshot you took of the class Spiral activity and share it using the Google Form below.
Leave a brief reflection/overview and/or review of how Spiral performed for you in your classroom. Things to consider...
- Did it make conducting a lesson easier for you?
- Did it keep your students engaged?
- How did Spiral help you formatively assess your students and their abilities?
- How does it help you serve your virtual students versus your in-person students (if applicable)?
