Mind mapping can be a great brainstorming technique in the classroom. Having 1:1 technology should not be an excuse not to do it "because it's too hard." That's where MindMeister comes in handy! Teachers can easily conduct mind mapping exercises in class with their students as a whole group, assigned as an individual activity, or assign it as a group endeavor. Go to MindMeister.com and sign in with Google. It will automatically create your account.
Conduct a class-wide collaborative brainstorm exercise with MindMeister.
Have students collaborate on a topic in small groups. (Students will need to use the share link option to share the mind map with classmates.)
Use MindMeister professionally with your colleagues on a PLC topic.
Choose one of the options above and use MindMeister in your classroom.
Your mind map should have at least one main topic and four "sibling" topics and some "child" topics.
After you finish your mind map, share the shareable link to the map in the Google Form below.
If you had you students create their own, share one of those maps in the Google Form below using the shareable link.
