Please watch the videos to the right to become familiarized with the advanced Google Sheets features you will use in the tasks below.
Open a Google Sheet created from a Google Forms assessment you give (or have given) in class.
This could be a routine quiz, CFA, unit test, etc.
You will need to have some written responses in your answers (something beyond just a couple words).
Make a copy of this spreadsheet to share in this badge task. In that copy, please remove student names and/or emails in order to remain compliant with FERPA laws.
Hide the timestamp column.
Conditionally format the scores column according to the following:
Scores 75% and above - green
Scores 74%-60% - yellow
Scores 59%-0% - red
In cells that contain written responses, set their column(s) to wrap text.
Insert a new column to the left of the (fraction) scores column. Merge cells in the new column to create a blank area to the left of each conditionally formatted group created above in step 3. Click HERE to see an example.
Label the merged cells with their percentage breakdowns as indicated in step 3. Match the cell colors, too.
Change the direction of the text in your merged cells to resemble the text direction in the example linked above.
Add a border to the sheet area that contains your data.
Sometimes we want our rows or columns to be the exact same size. Follow the steps below to set this up:
Set the height of a row. On the far left, right click on the row that you have set at the desired height. Choose resize row to see what the height is for the row you are working on. Remember that number.
Highlight the far left column that displays the numbers of the rows.
Right click and choose RESIZE ROWS 3-25 (example).
Choose SPECIFY ROW HEIGHT and type in the number you identified above and then click OK.
All rows should now be the same height. :)
Once you're finished with that spreadsheet, get the shareable link (Anyone in NCSD can view) and share it in the shareable link question using the Google Form embedded below.
