The Global Oneness Project (globalonenessproject.org) is a free multimedia platform that offers a multitude of classroom resources such as free lesson plans, companion videos for lessons, non-fiction articles, and much more! Global Oneness explores the deeper issues facing humanity. For grades 3-12, the stories and lessons encourage students to broaden their perspectives and worldviews while fostering inquiry, empathy, resilience, and a sacred relationship to our planet.
Teachers can create collections for students to access for class material, create questions, or use the free lesson plans provided on the website. Not all content has accompanying lesson plans, but those that do involve impressive depth and critical thinking. Lessons go beyond recall or simply analyzing one source; instead, they incorporate and provide additional resources and ask students to grapple with meaningful questions and connect with current events. The lessons are probably best used as supplements or extensions to the core curriculum.
