How to Use Canva in the Classroom
Share design via link or email
Share your designs via email invitations or via access links.
Open the design you want to share.
Click Share above the editor.
Select Share with others, and refer below on how to share via email or via a link.
Link Share
At the bottom of the menu, click the V icon.
Select an access option: to edit, to view, or to use as a template.
Click Copy link to copy the share link.
Sharing view only access via a link will require them to log in or sign up to see the design.
Watch the video to the left to get a brief tutorial on how to use Canva and what features it offers.
Create a FREE account at Canva.
Create a design that is school related. Some ideas:
Parent letter
Information about a school related activity
A flyer pertaining to an event or organization through school (HINT: Make sure you only choose from the free products, otherwise you will have to pay $1 for every product the site charges for – which could include design templates, fonts, and backgrounds. Don’t worry, a lot of the stuff is free!)
Share your design as a View only link (instructions to the left), and provide it in the shareable link field through the Google Form below.
OR
Assign a project to your students and have them use Canva.
They may sign up/log in using their school Google account.
Your students can create...
An infographic about something they recently learned in your class.
A mock social media post designed around a fictional or historical character.
An advertisement based on something fictional or historical.
(HINT: Make sure your students only choose from the free products, otherwise they will have to pay $1 for every product the site charges for – which could include design templates, fonts, and backgrounds. Don’t worry, a lot of the stuff is free!)
Your student must share their design as a View only link (instructions to the left), and provide it to you, ideally, through Google Classroom. You will then submit a student’s design link through the Google Form below to earn your badge.
