Now, the theory was that Vecna put them in his own version of a simulator through a time loop or they are all trapped in Vecna’s mind. This led viewers to believe that there was a secret 9th episode. When the episode never came out and viewers learned the theory was wrong. Young believers claimed to be in a “mass psychosis” by many teens watching since the beginning.
