As someone who has taught for over twenty years, I can confidently say that one of the best aspects teaching is watching students develop a passion for learning; I find it even more rewarding, though, when students facilitate meetings, hone their creativity, and lead projects by working outside of class without being asked—my journalists do this every week. NCOE Journalism is a student-led class: the first week of the school year, my students decide which projects they would like to pursue and create, and this year, they will display their talents through Reporting Red. The 2025-2026 NCOE Journalists have been dedicated to creating a space where students, faculty and staff, and community members can find news, entertainment, and information about NCOE High School. I hope you all enjoy what my students produce this year!
