Make plans to attend NCMTA’s 68th annual state conference! We will gather on the beautiful campus of East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina on October 2-3, 2026.

The conference theme Tapestry of Teaching celebrates the abundance of musical talent, educators, composers, and students who call North Carolina home. 

We are thrilled to welcome Awadagin Pratt as our Conference Guest Artist. He will present a dynamic solo recital on Friday evening and a masterclass Saturday morning of the conference.

Brian Shepard, CEO of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), will deliver the Keynote Address at our Friday evening banquet.

Additionally, the schedule features inspiring presentations by many of our gifted colleagues, exhibitor showcases, and outstanding student recitals. We will enjoy a truly unique highlight: the opportunity to explore the amazing private collection of historical instruments at The Music House, just down the street from ECU.

Beyond the schedule, the very best part is being together. Sharing the joys and challenges of our profession with new acquaintances and cherished friends is incredibly restorative. You will be sure to return refreshed in your soul and energized to teach.
