Dr. Jami Rhodes- Galloway
Dr. Jami Rhodes-Galloway is Professor of Voice at East Carolina University where she teaches applied voice, conducts the ECU Concert Choir, coordinates the vocal pedagogy program, and serves as Vocal Studies area coordinator. She holds the DMA in vocal performance and pedagogy from Louisiana State University, the MM in vocal performance from the University of South Carolina, and the BM in music education from East Carolina University. Dr. Rhodes is an active adjudicator and masterclass clinician across the country in solo vocal and choral capacities, and, in 2018, was named the recipient of ECU’s most prestigious collegiate teaching honor, The NC Board of Governor’s award for Excellence in Teaching. As a conductor, she regularly serves as guest clinician for festival, honor, and all-state choirs around the United States. Dr. Rhodes’ primary research focus is the incorporation of vocal pedagogy and individual voice building into the choral rehearsal, and she conducts pedagogy clinics for major high school and university choral programs each year. In addition to clinicing and guest conducting, Dr. Rhodes has presented research and workshops at numerous conferences at the state, regional, and national levels. Dr Rhodes is also an active solo performer in a variety of genres and holds a number of leading operatic roles and multiple concert soloist recordings to her credit. Recent and upcoming performances include mezzo-soprano soloist in Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis, Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Paukenmesse, and the role of Maddie in the premiere of Mark Taggart’s opera, Gal Youngin’.
Dr. Rhodes-Galloway resides in Grimesland, NC with her husband Grant, three bonus-boys - Levi, Luke, and Leon - and an 8-pound chihuahua terrier mix named Suzi.

Dr. Elizabeth Wilson
Elizabeth (Beth) L. Wilson, DMA, sought after conductor-educator, is Lecturer in Choral Music for the University of Kentucky. The 2024-2025 academic year marks Dr. Wilson’s tenth year as Conductor of the 90-voice SATB choir, UK Choristers - featured performing choir at the Kentucky Music Educators Association Conference in 2021 and 2022 and the oldest performing ensemble at UK. Additionally, Dr. Wilson teaches courses in conducting and choral music education methods, oversees student teachers, and serves as faculty advisor for Blue Note and the ACDA student chapter. Dr. Wilson’s philosophy of using choral music to foster human connection through a community of excellence has translated to years of invitations as honor choir conductor, interest session presenter, clinician, and adjudicator - most recently as a featured conductor at Carnegie Hall in April 2024.
Dr. Wilson is also Director of Music & Worship at Frankfort First United Methodist Church and current President of Kentucky ACDA. Previously, Beth has served as Choir Director at Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church, Conductor of Youth Choir/Clinician at Montreat Worship & Music Conference, Conductor of Georgia Tech Women’s Choir, Director of Student Musician Development for Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, as well as a choral music educator at both Pope and Wheeler High Schools in Cobb County, GA for nine years. Dr. Wilson’s secondary choirs were featured ensembles at music conferences and invitational events, performing throughout the country. In addition to her current role as President, Beth has served ACDA as KYACDA College/University R&R Chair, GAACDA Treasurer, and twice on Southern Region Conference Planning Committees. Beth was honored to be named KMEA 2020-2021 District 7 College/University Teacher of the Year. Dr. Wilson earned the DMA in choral conducting from University of Kentucky, MM in choral conducting from Georgia State University, and BM in music education from University of Georgia.
Beth happily resides in Lexington with her husband - Ken, their children - Drew and Anna, and their dogs - Coco and Daisy.
