About me

I am a mother of 4 boys and a military spouse. I enjoy football and like to snowboard and hike. My decision to become an educator came from past inspirational educators in my life. I wanted to inspire students to love to learn by finding personal interest and growth with education. I want students to have positive self-esteem and success in learning. I am a trusted educator, role model, and guide in my classroom. I will be using the trust I have gained with the children, by being a relatable person, to provide a safe and trusted environment where children feel safe to take reasonable risks. Due to this, I will be able to accomplish being a person who makes a difference in their lives. In doing so I know I can reach all children, including those that society believes, are “unreachable.”

I ensure my success in the classroom by always setting personal goals. I always look at the syllabus and schedule multiple times. I do not want to overlook meaningful details. I try to manage my time wisely. I prioritize what is important and spend diligent time on planning school work . I know that my students depend on my success. I believe the skills that I gain from my education will not only help me but will help me gain success in my classroom. I am also showing my children that hard work and setting goals will take you where you want to go.
