Children Aged 0-5

• You can find information about typical speech and language development for infants and young children HERE.
• Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education - If you are concerned that your child's communication skills may be delayed, you can refer them to the Clackamas Educational Service District. They may be eligible for early intervention or early childhood special education services. You can find more information about that program and a link to a free screening tool at their website linked above. You can also call them at (503) 675-4097.

School-aged Children

• Discuss your concerns with your child's teacher and he or she can initiate the referral process. See graphic above for information on the process of becoming eligible for speech-language pathologist services at school.
