I have been teaching high school math for 14 years, previously at Franklin High School. I taught Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, and AP Statistics.
My general philosophy about teaching is that kids don't care how much I know until they know how much I care (I'm sure that should be credited to someone, but I don't know who). The most important part of my job is knowing my students and understanding their needs.
I have a husband, two kids in elementary school, and a very energetic boxer/pit bull mix.
I enjoy walking with my family, playing volleyball (not this year though- blew out my ACL playing sand volleyball), cooking/baking, and most recently sewing.

Mathematics may not teach us how to add love or subtract hate, but it gives us every reason to hope that every problem has a solution.
