Guest: Sally Reeske

Getting Grant Ready - what you need and how to get it before the grant is due
Getting Grant Ready covers the five categories of grant readiness every NC SSP needs in place before applying for funding: fiscal sponsorship and organizational form, registrations, policies, budget and chart of accounts, and data collection. Participants leave with a self-assessment they can use to identify what their program is missing and a path to one-on-one TA on any single category.

Grants don't fund good intentions - they fund programs that can make a clear case for why their work matters. This session is for SSP operators who need to write fundable proposals without a development staff or a grant writing background.

Financial Management Basics - the financial infrastructure your program needs to function
Most small nonprofits are running some version of financial infrastructure - they just don't always know what to call it or where the gaps are. This session is a fast survey of org structure, bookkeeping, budgets, and compliance, built to give you enough orientation to know what you have, what you're missing, and who to call about the rest.
