Lead 3D Generalist, Character Designer, and Environment Designer
Devin Gregg was given the design initiative to create characters and assets for a VR experience that informs users about the lifestyle and plight of manatees. To do this she leveraged blender to make a variety of 3D assets with unique purposes. Her designs are based off the aquatic life in Sarasota Florida and are based off of through research.
Became skilled in blender hard surface modeling for oculus quest simulations and google cardboard simulations.
In addition to asset creation, Devin worked with Professor Roy and Alex Willis to teach summer camp students about our work, computer science, the environment, game design, and game development.
Researched manatee skeletal structures and use it to inform rigging an high fidelity animated assets
Texture painted a variety of game ready optimized textures for marine models, boats, and creatures
Successfully executed blender animations for the development teams use
To closely collaborate with my teammates to learn how to work effectively with different roles to create a unified project.
