How to Host a Wellness Event in Your School

Why a Wellness Event?

The NCESD Behavioral Health Services team is making these resources available to support student and community wellness throughout our region.  The pandemic years have been so very hard on our students, their families, our staff, and our communities.  We offer supports, training, and technical assistance to schools to assist struggling students.  We also want to support those who are well to stay that way and to spread that wellness to others.

We want to acknowledge the contribution to this product of staff at Grand Coulee Dam SD, especially Casey Clark, who shared their experience and lessons on first implementing a Wellness Event at Lake Roosevelt High School in May, 2022. Thanks also to Jan Albin-Bullock of WestSide High School, in the Wenatchee School District, who conducts three half-day Wellness Events per year, and generously shared her guest list with us. Many thanks to the numerous individuals who have agreed to be listed in this resource as potential Wellness Event speakers or booth providers. We hope this resource  contributes to enriching Wellness Events for students, staff and guests in communities throughout our region.

Please feel free to contact us with questions or comments about this resource or your experience in conducting a Wellness Event.
