North Colonie Mathematics at the Elementary Level

This year, our class will be using the Go Math! Mathematics program. We will have 12 main units throughout the year as listed below. We will also have a multitude of resources to assist with differentiation and student engagement, leading to deeper understanding and greater levels of mastery. We utilize many hands-on learning tools, so it is not uncommon to see certain pages in our math book not written in as we may be using our whiteboards and/or having conversations instead.

Chapter 1: Number Concepts (Chapter Essential Question How do you use place value to find the values of numbers and describe numbers in different ways? )
