Data is available in flight via a system named DECADES. This system will allow you to display and visualise live data during the flight both on the plane and on the ground during flight.

Once a flight has finished, data will be processed and uploaded to the CEDA archive for use.

During Flight

The interactive DECADES demo has a tour on startup to allow you to familiarise yourself with using the DECADES interface from basic functions such as plotting time-series to more complex capabilities such as setting your own dashboard alarms.

The full list of features include:

The DECADES interface on the plane is exactly mirrored for use on the ground via the Live Scientific Data link during flights which you can also navigate to via:

FAAM.ac.uk > Data Centre > Live Data > Live Scientific Data

Post Flight

Preliminary processed core data will be available within 24 hours of a flight. These data can be viewed with 'FAAM Quicklooks' at the bottom of the flight page on the flight calendar, or downloaded using the links below.

This data will go through some QA and QC processes before being uploaded to CEDA. A link to the CEDA data directory will then replace the FAAM quicklooks link on the flight page in the flight calendar.
