Tackling climate change with machine learning
NCAS St Andrews is a new climate research group led by Dr. Ioana Colfescu. We address critical challenges in climate change science by integrating the fundamental principles of atmospheric physics and mathematics with advanced data-driven machine learning techniques.
Our team's experience ranges from climate dynamics, mountain waves, extreme weather, and Earth system modelling to dynamical systems theory.
NCAS St Andrews is a cooperation between the National Centre for Atmospheric Science and the University of St Andrews School of Earth and Environmental Sciences and the School of Mathematics and Statistics. We are actively seeking collaborators - don't hesitate to reach out!
