I know its early in the year but we need General Assembly show submissions ASAP!! AND GREAT NEWS! All the forms are online now! You only have to bring/send art to conference if you are selected. Let's have a HUGE selection of Region 3 work.
Submissions must have both the signed permission slip from the student's parent and the Google Form must be filled out accurately. Please double and triple check your submission form.

Just ten more days to go see the incredible work at the Summer Teacher/Student Art Exhibit at Meredith College Weems Gallery. If you visit during regular business hours the building should be open and you will be able to enter the gallery, if you come on the weekends or a day where no one is in the Gaddy Hamrick Art Center please stop at campus security first and they can let you in! The Closing Reception will be June 30th from 2-4 pm at the Gaddy-Hamrick Art Center at Meredith.
Are you moving to a new school this summer? Let us know and PLEASE Update your NCAEA information. It's so easy! When was the last time you updated your information with our national organization? I just checked and my address was still my address from college! Having updated data on NAEA's website is the best was to make sure you are getting current information from NCAEA and NAEA.
It's a quick process- just go to https://www.arteducators.org/login . When you log in you will be taken to your profile. You can see you membership status, member number, and other important details. IF you are not a member go ahead and re-join!!! Under the tab Profile Information you can update your personal and contact info. Under "demographics" make sure to update your "US County" to the county where you teach. Make sure you hit SAVE at the bottom! Reading this email will take longer than updating your information! Hello Amazing Art Teachers of North Carolina!
This is Sarah Brown-Schumacher with some updates for 2024. I hope your year has been off to an easy start, and you have been making some masterpieces with your students. The NCAEA has a lot of fun things in store for you this year, and I wanted to let you in on a few things.
This year we are back in beautiful Asheville for our Annual Conference! November 14-17th we will be learning and having a great time at the Crowne Plaza. We have some incredible keynote speakers this year- Including Cassie Stephens!! She will be giving a talk and TWO workshops!!!
We are bringing back Teacher Tune-Ups. Once a month on Zoom join us for a great lesson from one of your NCAEA Board Members. Join me in March as I will be showing some fantastic "One Day Clay Projects for Elementary."
April 20th at Meredith College we will be hosting our Region 3 Spring PD. This is our yearly spring workshop, there will be three workshop options and lunch together! Keep an eye out for details on our Student/Teacher art exhibit at Meredith this summer.
