Hello! I am Courtney Hicks, and I currently live in LaSalle County with my husband Dave and our 21 year old son Gabe. My son is in his 2nd year of the IBEW Trade School. 

We moved back to our hometown in August 2024. This was my husband's childhood home, and it has been a love/hate remodel that took us 7 years. We are learning to live in town again after living 19 years in the country...it's an adjustment for sure 😆 

We also have 2 French Bulldogs, Walter (Walt) and Winston (Winnie). They are like having two toddlers, so they keep me pretty busy. We love their daily antics!

I have been in education in some fashion for the last 26 years. I have taught 1st through 8th grade. I was also a RTI paraprofessional, 1 year at Sheridan Grade School and then 3 years at Saratoga Elementary. I attended Northern University where I received my Bachelors Degree in Education with a minor in Psychology. I then went back to school a few years ago to obtain my LBS1 endorsement in Special Education at St. Francis University. I would love to go back to obtain a Masters Degree in either Curriculum Instruction, Technology or Reading.
