Describe the movement of the 3 kinds of waves.   C. Why are P-waves and S-waves named those letters--what do those letters stand for?    D. What is magnitude (define)   E. What are three ways earthquakes are measured?

October 5: Math: Workbook pages 63-66  IEW: Finish KWO  Literature:  Reread Chapter 12 and be able to answer the 5 questions! (email if you didn't get them in your planner)

October 6: Math:  Exercise 2.2 (1-10 all) *IF you had Math club, please do 2 (any 4 letters), 3, 4, and choose between 9 & 10. If you have additional time, work on 1 challenge problem. 

October 7: Math: Word problems 17-22 on hand out. 

October 8: Math:Word Problems from worksheet (any 3 of your choice except 2,3,8)  IEW: Rough draft & have it edited  Literature: Fomosj Cja[ter (pages 92-93)

October 12: Math: Workbook pages 71-72 AND 74-75   Lit: Read pages 103-105  Grammar: 54-56 if not finished in class    IEW: Finish KWO only 1-3 all letters 

October 13: Math:Exercise 3.1 1-8, #7a-f   Science: Study for test! 

October 14: IEW: Rough draft  History: AP 2.2 and share the speech with your parents! Literature: Finish the Part I questions if you did not do so in class:

1. How did the Trojan war start?

2. Who are the heros on both sides?

3. Who is the most heroic character? Why do you think so? Use 3 examples from your annotations where that character was acting in a heroic way according to our definition

4. What can we learn about the Ancient Greeks and what virtues they valued through these characters?
