Our students and staff at Parsons participate in responsive classroom practices throughout the school day, including morning meetings, character education lessons and behavior support. Our 5 core character traits are repeated 2x throughout the year to help students learn even more about the traits as the year goes on. Each character trait was selected and tied to our Parsons Mantra, which is recited daily, referred to often, and is displayed prominently throughout Parsons.
Character Education Rotation
As part of this initiative the following is our annual rotation for character traits:
1st Week of School - Kick-Off Pep Rally - "I matter / I am kind"
September/February - Responsibility - "I am responsible"
October/March - Respect - "I show respect"
November/April - Honesty - "I am honest"
December/May - Cooperation - "I am part of a team"
January/June - Perseverance - "Trying my best leads to success!"
