Phase I: Creating an area for the Pollinator Garden and Native Nebraska plants/flowers.
Funding for the flowers came from a generous donation and support from a fifth-grade student and their family during the 2020-2021 school year.
Planting the first set of Native Nebraska plants and flowers for the Pollinator Garden.
Phase II: Creating more space for the Pollinator Garden and Native Nebraska plants/flowers and a My Little Library with Benches to enjoy reading and flowers. Incorporating many NE State Standards K-12 grades.
Funding for the My Little Library and Benches came with generous support from the Philanthropy Grant through the Fremont Area Foundation. The flowers for the second planting and additional space came from a generous donation from Tiger Pin, a local business.
Phase II: Measuring our square footage and preparing the area for more Native Nebraska plants and flowers for an additional area for the Pollinator Garden.

Planting was done with past 5th graders (who started the Pollinator Garden), 4H club Platte River Kids, and current 5th graders during the 2021-2022 school year.
Spring 2022 (part of Phase II): Benches and My Little Library were installed around the Pollinator Garden. Benches were made and installed by Mr. Wright and his High School students.
Phase III: Maintaining and caring for the beauty of the Pollinator Garden and adding raised garden beds.
Funding for the raised garden beds is from generous support and financial donation from the North Bend Area Foundation.
Spring 2023: Second-grade students came to help 5th graders weed, plant, and water while learning about pollinators as part of their reading curriculum unit.
