The COVER Story:
A Deco Decade
We entered a new decade!
Who can image what the next 10 years will hold...
When we submitted our cover design in the fall of 2019, the future was an exciting prospect. Seniors were picturing their final years in high school and freshmen were settling in to their new surroundings.
Our cover drew inspiration from the art deco styles of the 1920s to celebrate the 19–20 school year.
When the Covid-19 pandemic began in a few months later at the start of 2020, the idea of new beginnings was still accurate though not in the way we originally imagined.

Start Strong
The fall and winter seasons offered our athletes a chance to show their stuff as they showed what zebras are made of.
The spring season was over before it started as the Covid-19 pandemic cancelled school activities after March 12th.
SNAPSHOT:
The Year that Was...
In the middle of the 2019–2020 school year, news stories started to appear about strange cases of a novel coronavirus named SARS-CoV-2. The stories began to accelerate and numbers began to grow.
Suddenly, in the middle of March, the we left school one day and did not return to the high school building for the remainder of the year.
In an effort to capture the history we were living through, the yearbook team designed this page outlining our timeline as well as what we knew at the time about our best practices to stay safe and healthy.
